Staying Slim and Feeling Great During the Holidays

Dear Friends of Lavage,
The overeating season is upon us in full force. Our holiday celebrations and gatherings with friends and family are tempting us to eat, drink and be merry together. This is a happy time for us to count our blessings, be grateful for having our loved ones with us, and to look forward to a New Year.
The fact that our clothes may be feeling a little tight around the waist is no surprise!!  I suggest considering a pre or post Christmas colonic therapy session to help you stay as trim as possible.  The benefits of a digestive system flush will help you stay cleansed on the inside, where it counts most.
We can also bear in mind some foods that can help stop winter weight gain that taste great and are great for you.
I would like to suggest a book by Jonny Bowden, titled “The 150 Healthiest Foods on Earth” as a great way to learn about  and consider suggestions for a better diet that will allow you to eat better, thus feel better.
One of his suggestions is trying roasted squash, which is high in fiber and water content to make you feel full without loading up on calories. Be it butternut, acorn or delicata varieties, they are worth your consideration.
Check out the link from our friends at Real Age for some more sound dietary ideas.
So remember to be feeling your best by not overindulging with too much overeating or overdrinking for the holidays.
Seasons best wishes to all,
